How to play Backgammon?
Rolling the Dice & Moving Your Pieces
Each turn begins with a dice roll. These dice determine the movements of your checkers (pieces). Roll carefully. Think ahead. You must use both numbers if possible. Plan your every move. Backgammon's simplicity offers complex strategy.
Hitting and Entering
If a single checker lands on a point occupied by your opponent, it gets "hit". This checker then goes on the bar (middle of the board) and must re-enter the game. Carefully navigate the board. Beware of strategic traps. Backgammon demands sharp focus.
Bearing Off
Once all your checkers are in your home board, you can begin "bearing off". This means removing your checkers from the board. You need to be ahead in this game. The player who bears off all checkers first wins. Victory in Backgammon!
